ABOUT DR. ROCHE
Dr. Roche started Counseling and Sport Psychology Services in 2007. She is a licensed Psychologist with her Doctorate in Counseling Psychology and works primarily with adolescents and adults. She was awarded her Doctoral degree from the University of Buffalo in 2003. Dr. Roche offers both tele-health and in person sessions.
Presentations and Research
Dr. Roche conducted independent research in eating disorders among athletes, and athlete's emotional response to injury. In addition she co-authored research with her intern class at UPenn evaluating length of treatment and outcome efficacy. She co-authored book chapters with Dr. Doug Hankes on consultation in college athletics.
Dr. Roche has presented for professional organizations, colleges, high schools, and within the private sector. She has presented on topics in Sport Psychology as well as general clinical issues. She has worked with several organizations including United States Figure Skating, Division I-III, professional sport teams, corporations and more.
Team Experience
Dr. Roche has worked with numerous teams throughout her career. Most recently (2018-24) she was the Team Psychologist and Mental Performance provider to a professional team. There she provided counseling and mental skills training to enhance performance. She worked collaboratively with the Medical, Strength & Conditioning, Nutrition, Coaches, Management, and Development staffs.
Dr. Roche also worked with a Non Olympic US National Team (2008-2014) working with Players, Coaches, and the Executive Board to enhance their competitive edge.
